Services

Measured at your house. Finished offsite.

Six kinds of work, one way of doing them. You book a time. We come to you with foams and fabrics, measure the piece, and give you a price. Then we make it offsite and bring it back complete.

01

Sofas & couches

A good frame is worth keeping. We recover sofas and couches in the cloth you actually want to live with — full covers, new seat cushions, or the arms and front rail where hands, sun and dogs have done the work. We measure at the house, show you foams and fabrics there, and price it before we start. The making is done offsite. We bring the sofa back fully finished. If a frame is too far gone to justify the cloth, we will say so on the visit.

02

Chairs

We recover singles and whole dining sets, including seats that have gone shiny and backs that have split along the rail. On the visit we measure each chair, show foam and cloth, and give you an estimate. The work is finished offsite and the set comes back complete. Piping, buttons, plain seats — matched to the chair, not to a catalogue.

03

Bay windows

A window seat is built in, so we measure the squab, the back and the boxing where it sits. You choose foam and cloth in that light, and you get a price before we make anything. The cushions are made offsite and brought back finished — useful when the bay has an awkward return, a lid for storage, or a shape that has never matched a shop cushion.

04

Outdoor furniture

Sun, salt and a sudden Auckland downpour ask more of a cloth than a living room does. We come to the terrace, measure the suite, and show outdoor foams and fabrics suitable for this space. The recovering is done offsite. We bring the furniture back fully completed. Deep buttoning is rarely right outside. Tailored, removable covers usually are.

05

Squabs

A squab is the cushion: window seats, banquettes, outdoor chairs, a long bench in a hall. We make them to the pad you have, or replace a filling that has collapsed when a new cover alone will not bring it back. Boxed edges, piped edges, plain knife edges — cut to the seat, not to a standard size.

Headboards

A new cover changes a bedroom without a new bed. We measure the head in the room, show cloth against the walls and the light, and estimate the job there. The recovering is done offsite, and we bring the finished headboard back. If the old board is no longer worth saving, we can talk about a simple new one made to the bed you already own.

Your piece, your style, your way.

We do not keep a showroom wall of two hundred books. We bring a tight edit that suits the piece and the house, and we name the trade-offs — mark, light, pets, weather — before you choose.

  • Performance weaves

Houses with children, pets or red wine. Still a proper cloth — just one that can be lived on.

  • Outdoor cloth

Solution-dyed fabrics for sun and rain. Made to come off, wash, and go back on.
